Jaspreet Bhalla is our HR manager at Felcorp Support. She explains how HR profession has changed over the years and specifically how staff expectations have changed within the offshore outsourcing market.
Staff are much more vocal than they have been in the past and want to feel they are at the wheel, rather than a cog within a wheel.
The offshore outsourcing model is a relatively new industry. However, the industry is emerging out it's infancy stage and bringing on a new generation of staff that are asking for more progressive Western values such as staff wellbeing programs, structured professional development and clear career progression trajectory.
Staff want to feel valued beyond just their salary appraisal. They want to be measured by the value they derive in your business rather than the volume they can churn out.
Offshore outsourcing providers should focus on strong HR and organisational culture because ultimately that's the strategy to best help retain staff over the long term and motivate staff to work as efficiently as they can.
