Felcorp Support helps a local charity supporting children with cancer

Diwali is a special time celebrated by many people, filled with lights and happiness. This year, Felcorp Support decided to celebrate Diwali in a more meaningful way outside of our traditional company party.

So for this year, we decided to give back to a local charity organisation, Access Life, which takes care of children fighting cancer. We made a lump sum donation and provided much needed essentials to all the families such as shoes, lights, food meals for the kids and their families as well as some other toys and gifts.

The Felcorp Staff spent half the day volunteering their time playing with the kids.

Activities with the Kids

The day was full of fun activities. First, we donated colouring books and crayons to the children. The Felcorp team joined them in this creative adventure, making the experience a slightly more competitive one with Felcorp’s inaugural colouring competition taking place.

Support and Contributions

Felcorp Support extended a helping hand by providing essential items to cancer patients and their families. Our contribution to the Mealmate program ensured that the children and their parents received quality and nutritious meals, aiding in their recovery. To spread joy and hope, we also distributed stationery kits and Diwali gifts, bringing a touch of cheer to their lives.

Storytelling Session

A highlight of the event was a captivating storytelling session by Varinda, an employee at Felcorp Support. Her inspiring tale about finding inner strength and resilience resonated deeply with the audience. It conveyed a message that even as we grow up and face new challenges, the kindness, courage, and creativity we had as children are always within us.

Creating a Caring Environment

The visit fostered a warm and caring environment. Spending quality time with the children and celebrating together created a sense of connection and empathy. This experience underscored the power of small acts of kindness to brighten someone's day.

Impact of Access Life

Access Life is a special place that helps kids fighting cancer. It's like a home away from home, where they and their families can stay while the kids get better. These centres are in many cities, including Mumbai and Bengaluru.

At Access Life, kids get more than just a place to stay. They also get mental health support, learn yoga, and even get to study.

In Chandigarh, Access Life also helps kids get to the hospital safely.

It's important to support places like Access Life. When families are going through a tough time, knowing they have a place to stay and get support can make a big difference.

By celebrating Diwali with Access Life, Felcorp Support can continue to positively contribute to the local community and support others who are in need. Together, we brought joy and hope to these brave kids and their families.
