Tobias Fellas

Managing Director, Tobias Fellas attended the 2022 annual PIFA symposium held in Canberra this on November 18th 2022.
With the event held in person for the first time in 2 years, it was great to be able to see our valued clients in person as well as connect with other like-minded independent financial advisers.
Felcorp was invited to attend as a corporate delegate and share how our services help a handful of PIFA practices.
While many people in the industry overlook independent status and PIFA in general, what people misunderstand is the actual value the association gives to their network of independent advisers.
With many of our PIFA clients that we support with paraplanning and admin , they all have noted that they receive a steady flow of website enquiries around 2-4 a month that are solely from their PIFA status.
One of the ways PIFA achieves this quite easily is that they publicise their advisers on their website containing their photo, email address, location, phone number and their website.
Something so simple like this does actually generate leads.
From Chris Rae at Allied Wealth in Sydney to Jacie Taylor at Periapt Advisory in South Australia, many have personally told us that they will happily forgo insurance commissions as the amount and quality of their leads far exceed the potential lost revenue of insurance commissions.
There are some large 20+ staff AFSLs calling themselves independent that owe a lot of their success to the PIFA association.
So don't immediately discount the value that independence and PIFA specifically can give to their advisers.
