Felcorp Support is partnering with Spotlight Reporting to train all our Felcorp Accountants on cashflow forecasting.

As there is a big push from accounting practices looking to expand their advisory services this year, we evaluated one of the biggest issues that hold practices back in providing more advisory services to their clients.

The issue is the time commitment that firms need to spend in understanding the software before they can charge out their time to clients. Accountants frankly don't have enough time to wrap their heads around another software and this was said to us as the biggest factor stopping them from going ahead with a software.

We're currently going through training on:

1. Connecting Xero/MYOB businesses into Spotlight Reporting
2. Setting up customisable templates with your practice logos and colours on it
3. Completing 12 month to 5 year cashflow forecasting scenarios
4. Completing comparative cost-benefit cashflow forecasting scenarios
5. Preparing quarterly and annual budgets

What we are particularly focusing on is creating a small package in which we can showcase the relevant forecasting data, baseline assumptions and reports in as few pages as possible. We want it to be simple to read and deliver as much value as possible to your client.

Monetising Reports and Cashflow Forecasting

Over the coming weeks, we will prepare a baseline guide in monetising Spotlight Reporting that will take into account our time setting up a forecast or just the reporting functions.

What is particularly interesting about Spotlight Reporting so far, is that there is a fair degree of flexibility so we are able to produce streamlined reports in 30 mins and more complex forecasts in 2 - 3 hours.

We believe there will be a variety of different service tiers that you may be able to offer on either a monthly, quarterly or one-off basis that range all the way from $100 to $1,000+ depending on how you see fit in your practice.
