The purpose of this training policy is to ensure that all employees have access to the necessary resources, knowledge, and skills to perform their roles effectively and to also adhere to internal policy compliance.
This training policy applies to all employees within the organization, regardless of their roles or levels of seniority. It encompasses onboarding training for new hires, role-specific training for existing staff, and ongoing professional development courses to enhance skills across the workforce. Additionally, the policy includes compliance training to ensure all employees are aware of and adhere to regulatory requirements and company standards. Contractors, temporary staff, and part-time employees may also be covered by this policy as determined by their department heads or as stipulated in their contracts.
All operational employees must adhere to our skill development training policy which ensures each team member is required to complete a total of 40 hours of structured and formal training or development programs each year. This is administered by team managers.
We undergo 2 formal company policy training sessions a year that is lead by our internal HR department. These run through all our internal company policies including data security, employment, code of conduct etc.
When required we perform ad-hoc or semi-formal training sessions for any changes to our internal business operations. This may include changes to leave requests, email communication and software changes we have initiated.
All new employees undergo a formal employee onboarding process which outlines our company policy procedures and expectations of job performance, job duties, workflow procedures and understanding of any specific software or process requirement.
Our managers undergo specialised internal training that supports our quality assurance and quality controls across our operations team. This is designed to give them the flexibility to make decisions freely regarding aspects of their workflow and team without always approaching Senior Management or HR.
Employees are encouraged to participate in formal training sessions that can be individual-focused or organised at the corporate level. These sessions are part of the mandatory Continuing Professional Development (CPD) hours and are designed to enhance technical skills, regulatory knowledge, and industry-specific competencies.
We provide one-on-one coaching sessions, personalized feedback and support. This is administered by our team leaders to improve their overall job quality and ensure they remain qualified for placement.
From time to time, we set up seminars and webinars to support staff in new software, industry trends and internal business operations.
On-the-job training is supported by our team managers and the specific nature of any corporate agreement Felcorp may have.
Job shadowing provides employees the opportunity to observe a peer or leader in their role performing their role day-to-day. The employee will typically sit next to the peer leader and watch what is happening. This facilitates knowledge sharing across different functions and helps in diversifying skillsets across multiple software for example.
These methodologies offer practical, immersive learning opportunities that reflect real-world scenarios that are designed and initiated by the team leaders. Through simulations, employees can engage in hands-on practice without the pressure of real-time consequences, allowing them to build confidence and proficiency in their respective roles. This also allows them to model and refine specific scenarios that they have not encountered for.
Our e-learning approach is on a case by case basis as determined by the team manager and the employee at the time and what e-resources are available. These digital modules are designed to be interactive and engaging, incorporating multimedia content such as videos, quizzes, and discussion forums to maximize learning retention and master the basic concepts.
We ensure that we have a variety of print resources in the office for employees to peruse when facing an issue. While we do not provide extensive print materials due to storage limitations, we similarly offer online resources within our intranet portal.
We ensure that we have key and frequently used online resources available on our intranet for all necessary staff to access when required.
This Confidentiality and Non-Disclosure Policy is subject to regular review to ensure its relevance and effectiveness in protecting the organisations sensitive information. Reviews will be conducted annually or as needed, in response to changes in legal requirements, business operations, or emerging security threats. Employees are encouraged to provide feedback on the policy to help identify any areas needing improvement. Any updates or revisions to the policy will be communicated promptly to all staff members.
